Jamie
Odell
"JAMIO"
Born in
1970 in the Mid-West, and moved to Northern California
as a small child. I have been drawing and painting since
early childhood. Bachelors of Arts Degree in Art with
honors from California State University Stanislaus in
1998. My artistic technique is highly influenced by the
Masters works of Durer, Holbein, Caravaggio, Grunewald
and DaVinci. I am also equally inspired and influenced,
however, from the many creative endeavors of both visual
and literary artists who have dwelled into the darker
realms of human psyche. The cover art of 1930's through
1950's horror pulp novels and comics as such as "Weird
Tales", "Tales from the Crypt", "Eerie", "The Haunt of
Fear", and "The Vault of Horror" have been a tremendous
visual influence my work. Vegas has recently held a huge
interest in the work of JAMIO. Next time your there,
take a look around! |

Heather
Watts
"Art Deck"
With
lanterns, torches, halos, hell-fire, sunsets and
television sets,
Heather Watts illuminates a dark paradise that
twists the imagination. Her work explores the
relationships between complimentary opposites: life,
death, fantasy and reality. Human and animal nature
square off against each other through the pageantry of
anthropomorphic villains and anti-heroes, rendered with
an eye to what they reveal about the realities of our
own world. Self-taught in the arts, but holds a
Bachelors Degree in Asian Area Studies from the
University of British Columbia. A bookish fascination
with history, politics, art and religion exerts subtle
influence in her art.
Watts began painting full-time in 2003, her
work has been exhibited in galleries from California to
Florida, including The Shooting Gallery in San
Francisco, M Modern Gallery in Palm Springs, Roq la Rue
in Seattle, and DC Gallery in Denver. |
